Killer Mike and El-P, the award-winning duo that make up Run The Jewels, have released dropped their third LP RTJ3 three weeks early. It was originally supposed to be released on January 13th, but the rap duo wanted to gift us with a holiday treat before the new year.

RTJ3 is made up of 14 tracks with collaborations from Joi, Danny Brown, Kamasi Washington, BOOTS, Trina, and Tv On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe. Also, Rage Against The Machine's Zack de la Rocha makes an uncredited appearance on "Kill Your Masters," as El-P noted on Twitter.

RTJ3 is about the hard times and struggles - full of "f*ck you" messages to those who deserve it and messages of comfort to those afflicted. The album opens up with "Down," a slow-building track about hope as Killer Mike speaks about past experiences. The album is full of energetic bangers (we wouldn't expect anything less from them) with highlights being "Stay Gold," "Don't Get Captured" "Call Ticketron" and" Everybody Stay Calm." They throw in a little funk with "Thursday in the Danger Room," which features Kamasi Washington, and slow things down a little with "Oh Mama."

RTJ3 shows that Run The Jewels have no end in sight. The rap duo is at the peak of their career and there's no slowing them down. They will begin their 2017 tour on January 11th in Philadelphia and wrap up at NYCs Terminal 5 on February 25th.
