Baeble has seen The 1975
live in concert four or five times this year, and that was just in the last year. Yet, when I went to watch their newly released sold out full-length concert at The O2 in London, I found myself captivated for the entire 1 hour and 50 minutes. And I started to think: damn, this band is really killing it.
I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It
is such a great album, which we remember as they blow through each song off of it. The opening self-titled track is a too-short, euphoric track that sounds like something off of a M83 album, "Love Me" and "UGH!" are fun pop tracks, "If I Believe You" is an intimate gospel cut, and so on. Healy is a star - he bounces all over the stage in a cool manner, grabbing the camera guy and looking directly into his lens for half of "Loving Someone," drinking wine, and gradually smearing his black eyeshadow more and more throughout the show. The fans are screaming and crying in the crowd, and although I've already personally seen them three times this year, this makes me want to see them again. Whether you loved the album when it first came out or never even listened to it before, we recommend you take a glimpse at this.
