Thanks to Skrillex, Diplo, Dead Mau5, and more, EDM music has found firm footing in the music industry and taken the genre a step above gritty warehouse parties of '90s past. The stage productions, lighting design and talent draws a rabid fan base, but does anyone really know what goes on behind-the-scenes to see how it all comes together?
In the new documentary by Justin Nizer, Moment of Clarity, multi-platinum, Grammy award winning, artist/DJ/producer Zedd (born Anton Zaslavski), gives fans an inside look to his first headlining tour of the United States, and tells the story of the musical wunderkind's rise to super stardom, all starting with a message he sent to Skrillex on MySpace.
With interviews from Hayley Williams, Jimmy Iovine, and his tight inner circle, you get a sense of the 24-year-old musical wunderkind's personality, work ethic, and how important it is to be hands on with every production, down to the smallest detail.
"I'm a perfectionist and everything has to be 100% right, otherwise, I just don't love it," he shares. "I can't wait to share the Moment of Clarity Documentary with everyone around the world! The last couple of years have been incredible and the film captures some of the most challenging and rewarding experiences along the way."
