I used to sing "Silent Night" to my grandma when the extended family gathered on Christmas Eve. When I heard that The Kills
covered "Silent Night" on a special session of BBC 6 Music, I expected a slightly different take.
In true form, this version is hauntingly sparse, with some notable changes to the lyrics. I'm pretty sure the original doesn't include the line, "the moon makes me want to eat you alive." Oh, Alison Mosshart, why would you want to scare grandma like that?
Perhaps this is The Kills' way of promoting Blood Pressures
