Christmas time is right around the corner and there have been plenty of holiday albums to get us in gear. As much as we love the classics like "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree" and "Baby, Its Cold Outside", it's nice to hear some alternative festive covers. Minnesota-natives, Hippo Campus, released a cover of Low's "Last Snowstorm Of The Season" featuring Low's frontman Alan Sparhawk on guitar and it's just in time for the cold weather that's coming soon.

It all came about when Alan Sparhawk asked Hippo Campus to play their upcoming Christmas show and they figured it'd be appropriate to cover "Last Snowstorm Of The Season" - which Hippo Campus said is "...lyrically relevant to what we endured winter as a band, as well as fellow Minnesotans."

It's a slow-burning track with weeping guitar chords and it'll make you want to watch the snow fall as you're bundled up next to a fire.
