There's nothing better than seeing an artist in their true element. They can give the greatest performance of their career or maybe open up about their creative process. With the new mini series entitled Unsupervised,
produced by boutique music supervision company Groove Guild
, they show us just that, with a collection of live sessions and personal interviews with different emerging artists - the first one being one of our favorites - Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA
is dedicated to keeping the importance of live performance in tact and joining promising artists on their journey. In the trailer, when Al Risi, Founder of Groove Guild, told AURORA that the legendary NYC studio she was performing in was also used by David Bowie and Madonna, her answer was precious - a stunned, nervous gulp followed by, "I didn't know... That's nice."
"Our attention is so divided these days by the relentless stream of communication coming at us via work, our personal lives, and of course social media, that it can be difficult to find true moments of inspiration," Risi told Baeble. "That's why I love a live show: I get to unplug for an hour or so and just get lost in the music and oftentimes leave feeling so inspired. Having the opportunity to not only experience electrifying performances up close, but also to hear from these artists about their process - their struggles and breakthroughs - is so heartening and can be quite creatively invigorating."
The web series is set to launch early next year, but you can have the first taste right here with the trailer above.
