We went Santa heavy in a video post today, so we are going to focus on non-holiday music swimming around our heads this week. There are some new treats, show tunes and we are late to the games for your listening pleasure.

We are also adding a special extra - Our favorite video of the week. We watch as many videos as listen to songs - perhaps more and have opinions. Don't get us started on cheesy retro film effects and guys in space suits.

    David's Picks

    Chewing, Cults - Moonshine
Chewing is the brand-new side project of Local Natives' Nik Ewing. This collaboration is everything we like about Local Natives and Cults.

    Phoebe Bridgers - Scott Street
    Flat Out Obsessed

    Big Red Machine - Gratitude
I am late to the game with this Justin Vernon / Aaron Dessner pairing. The whole album is on repeat for dog walks.

    Seeb / Bastille - Grip
Everything these guys do is amazing. Win for the old guys.

Quinn XCII / Noah Kahan - Tough
On the face of it an unlikely pairing but it works. Heavy Repeat.

Judah & the Lion - Pep Talk
These guys released two singles this week, Pep Talk and Quarter-Life Crisis. Pep Talk stuck with me, it is an anxiety producing short and when you shut your eyes you see the opening of a Zombie movie with the un-dead shuffling towards you in the mist.

    Davis' Picks

    Lauv - Superhero
Everyone needs one - 'nuf said on this one.

Brooke Sierra - Poetry & Stars
A Slow burner that will move you.

Chance The Rapper - Work Out
It really isn't day unless you let Chance shine some sunlight on you.

    Sabrina's Picks

    Cher - Dark Lady
I saw the Cher show musical this week, yes the same one that Kanye texted through cause he was so "inspired." Not sure which part his was inspired by cause the show is kind of a hot Bob Mackie dressed mess but a highlight was Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman decked out in bell-bottoms and suede. singing Dark Lady while competing for Chers affection. The original is still an underrated Cher jam.

Dolly Parton / Miranda Lambert - Dumb Blond
This week was filled with musical divas for me. If you haven't watched Netflix's Dumplin' , you should just for the Dolly Parton sound track alone. While I've always liked Dolly, can't tell you how many times I've watched 9-5 or listened to Joleen, I wasn't as familiar with this song. This song and the Dolly Parton quote, that is heavily featured in the movie, "Find out who you are and do it on purpose" have been my anthem of the week for not letting others put me down and becoming the version of myself I want to be.

    Music Video of the Week:

    Justice - Heavy Metal

Justice turns the NSU Spartan Legion Marching Band in to an explosive thrill ride.
