Despite hiring personal stylists and working with highly-respected fashion designers, celebrities can still manage to have wardrobe malfunctions just like the rest of us. We know they don't always look this wacky, but on the rare occasion they do look a bit off, we are here to take full advantage of their unfortunate situations. There is no hate here, only fun laughter and advice for future outfit decisions. So here it is, the worst dressed celebs of this year, and boy oh boy are there some doozies.
1. Girl Crush (The Grammy's)
So… is she trying to personify a ball pit? Because if that was her aim, then she did a great job! It's colorful and fun, but maybe it should stay in a children's playground and maybe not put on a piece of clothing.
2. Ajiona Alexus (The Emmy's)
She is looking beautiful everywhere except for this indecisive dress and pant combo. A clever contraption to incorporate both ensembles, but possibly a bit too indecisive for our liking.
3. Jared Leto (The VMA's)
Why Jared, why? That colored sequin cape is way over the top and not paired well with those jeans and sneakers. It's as if he's trying to look the weirdest (which he definitely does) but he also looks absolutely terrible, like his joker performance has infiltrated his sense of style and he's just got a warped view of fashion now.
4. Madonna (The Met Gala)
Madonna? Where is she? We can't see her! Oh, there she is in a full body camouflage! I don't think camo has made its way to the red carpet since maybe 2002, and there's a reason behind this phenomenon: it just doesn't look good.
5. George Clinton (The Grammy's)
This spiky, bejeweled crown is emitting some creepy jesus vibes here. Definitely not something for the red carpet, let alone daily attire. Surely he would be in a lot of pain with all those spikes covering his head? We can appreciate pain for fashion, but not when it looks like a torture device.
6. Chris Sullivan (Emmy's)
Willy Wonka is back and this time he doesn't have any chocolate -- just a scary look on his face. The hat and cane make him look like a magician, and one that does not appear to know any cool tricks except for maybe a "guess the card trick" but he'd mess it up and it would be very underwhelming.
7. Farrah Abraham (The VMA's)
Now this looks like she's off to space in that white suit and thigh high golden boots, very futuristic! But it's a bit ahead of our time and maybe not quite in our universe either…?
8. CeeLo Green (The Grammy's)
Is he a superhero or a villain? CeeLo has painted himself gold and put on some very strange helmet type thing. He looks a bit like r2d2, but in a very bad way.
9. Dencia (The Billboard Music Awards)
This is an incredible outfit -- it's got honeycomb vibes mixed with a space suit vibe. It would be great as the costume for a character in the new Star Trek
film, but maybe not as a red carpet outfit.
10. Lil Yachty (The VMA's)
Does he know he's at an award ceremony and not in 9th grade? What is going on here with this geeky costume and terrible v-neck sweater? Lil Yachty, this is what you wear to a halloween party when you decide to reminisce on your adolescence, not at the VMA's.
11. Katy Perry (The Met Gala)
Despite the theme of this year's Met Gala being Comme des Garcons and obviously inspired by the concept of deconstructed fashion, Katy Perry just doesn't quite nail it. It has all the right components, but misses the mark ever so slightly. It's just a bit much, especially the headpiece covering her face.
12. Joy Villa (The Grammy's)
Still unsure whether or not this is supposed to be some kind of political satire or if she actually believes in her dress' slogan. Either way it is definitely not an image to print on a dress and wear in public, let alone a prestigious award ceremony.
13. Jeremy Scott (The VMA's)
Hmm, a golden cowboy? A shimmery snake man? What are you Jeremy? Definitely not looking good if you ask us, but hey you're the designer maybe this will be the new IT look of 2018...a questionable maybe.
14. Rory Kramer (The VMA's)
Yet another man embracing his childhood of McDonalds and mismatched shoes. Guys come on, you're not kids anymore, stop dressing like you are! That yellow combination and McDonald print is tacky and not even the slightest bit funny.
15. Chris Oflyng (The Billboard Music Awards)
Pink is a great color and should be worn wisely, not in a ¾ length tracksuit. Those long black socks completely ruin the outfit (not that that's hard to do) but maybe if he lost the socks and maybe the shoes and maybe the t-shirt, or maybe just the whole outfit, he'd look decent.
