Sleater-Kinney are arguably the most iconic riot grrrl act of all time, and they dropped one of this year's best records, No Cities To Love, after a decade long hiatus. Riot grrrl and punk rock more generally aren't known for being able to make fun of themselves, but Sleater-Kinney proved their sense of humor yet again -- not that Carrie Brownstein has much of a need to make this point considering...Portlandia -- by having Brownstein's TV costar Fred Armisen join them for a cover of the B-52s "Rock Lobster" (which was the band's first hit before "Love Shack" became a major sensation). And if you've ever wanted to hear Corin Tucker squeak like a dolphin, you're going to want to see this.
