The Baeblemusic Awards: Best Song

Our year-end poll of Best Song was undoubtedly the closest race of them all. It came down to the wire between the two frontrunners: Grizzly Bear's cool-mannered, "Yet Again," and Japandroids' kinetic summer ballad, "The House That Heaven Built." In the end, Grizzly Bear reigned supreme, but you couldn't help but think it was due to the proximity of the albums' releases. Japandroids' Celebration Rock was set loose nearly six months ago as Grizzly Bear's Shields was just in September. But in all honesty, it's hard to disagree with the voters - these songs deserve to top any list.

Listen to every nominee in their respective placement below:

    1. Grizzly Bear - "Yet Again"

    2. Japandroids - "The House That Heaven Built"

    3. Grimes - "Oblivion"

    4. Kanye West feat. Big Sean, Pusha T, & 2 Chainz - "Mercy"

    5. Twin Shadow - "Five Seconds"
