Ty Segall Announces First Pair Of Playable 3D Glasses, And ANOTHER New EP

    Ty Segall is a busy dude. In 2014 he's released a full-length LP, Manipulator; and a compilation album of original singles, aptly titled $ingles$ 2 (the title echoes his 2010 mixtape $ingle$), and he's teased us with a few singles off his forthcoming live LP, Live In San Francisco, due out in January. As if one forthcoming album wasn't enough, he's just announced another one, also due out in January. The Mr.Face EP, due out January 13th, is a bit of a different thing.

    The new EP is equal parts music project and art project. The also aptly titled EP, Mr.Face, is designed to be worn, on your face. The physical vinyl is pressed on two 7" discs that come as a gate-fold. One is a translucent blue, and the other is a translucent red. Put them together and you've got the most rock n' roll set of 3D glasses out, and the only pair on the market that fit just as well on your turn table.
