We wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas, and so does every musician under the sun. This week we're rolling out the first installment of our seasonal Single Serving of Holiday Cheer. For the next few weeks we'll present you with our favorite new holiday songs. Some are covers of classics, some are hilarious originals, and some are lovely new seasonal soon-to-be classics. Since it never hurts to start big, we'll throw you back to the Paul McCartney classic, "Wonderful Christmastime," with a night club twist from Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One.

It's groovier. It's funkier. It's a little less London and a little more Las Vegas. Hawthorne and One took the brit folk bounce out of the McCartney classic, and replaced it with an easy listening west coast pace. It's the kind of cover that will make you consider the upside to a balmy green Christmas. The cover comes to us in celebration of the forthcoming collaborative album between Hawthorne and One. Tuxedo is due out in early March via Stones Throw Records, and marks Mayer Hawthorne's first return to the label since 2009's A Strange Arrangement
