Baeble First Play: The Synthrock Dance Party of The Slants

    It's as gloomy as a Tuesday can get here in NYC this morning, but we've got the perfect cure: the Slants. Billing themselves as America's first all Asian-American dance-rock band, the group are what happens when you combine New Order, early Interpol, and the Killers into one exuberant synth rock frenzy. And in their music video for "Sakura Sakura," their "shake your ass while banging your head" charms can't be denied.

    We're stoked to have the exclusive premiere of the video for "Sakura, Sakura." Telling the story of a girl at a museum exhibit who suddenly finds the Slants playing in her cellphone camera (which only she can see at first), the video for "Sakura, Sakura" adds a little mystery to the bombastic synth rock that the band peddles in. And by the time everybody else in the museum can see the band, the track becomes a full blown dance party.
