When celebrities have mental meltdowns, it's just like a bad car accident you can't look away from. In the case of Creed frontman, Scott Stapp, he's gone from announcing he's penniless and without a home, to now asking the public to help raise $480,000 via a Fundly.com campaign to finance a solo album and his first fiction novel. Seriously??

Albeit he claims to be sober, this current turn of events makes us inclined to believe the documents obtained by TMZ wherein Stapp's estranged wife, Jaclyn, claims he was "doing so much amphetamines, crystal meth, and steroids that he has become a paranoid shell who has threatened to kill himself and his family." are more on point and tell a truer tale.

Stapp is brief and straight forward in his message to fans about the funding. "Raising funds 4solo album #3. Using same team, Howard Bensen (Producer) & Chris Lord-Alge (Mix). At the same time, my first book in the fiction category. Need 2fund both projects"

He's currently at just over $500, so if you want to contribute, go HERE.
