Mainland Release Killer New Track 'Empty Promises' Just in Time For Election Day

    NYC-based quartet Mainland just released an absolute killer new track, "Empty Promises," which is super fitting for today, given this current election situation...

    Rapid guitars pan back and forth as frontman Jordan Topf sings with angry tension in his voice and lets out literal screams, probably out of frustration. He explains the meaning behind the song, "'Empty Promises' is a song about expectations. Sometimes you put too much blind faith into people. It's a trap. Make the right decision today about the people in power." The group chose to have a voice today and they did it in the most perfect way -- with a nostalgic throwback to rebellious punk, reminiscent of bands like Sex Pistols, Ramones, and more recently, The Strokes.
