Although only about one quarter of the tri-state area was capable of tuning in to NBC on Saturday night, New York City's favorite cynic and SNL host, Louis C.K and musical guest, fun. made a lasting impression, helping us all momentarily forget Hurricane Sandy's devastation.

The episode's cold opening was brilliant as Mayor Michael Bloomberg (Fred Armisen), and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (Bobby Moynihan) address the Hurricane.

Louis C.K. spoofs his own hit show Louie with a political twist.

fun. play two of the catchiest songs of the year, "Some Nights" and "Carry On," and their frontman, Nate Ruess eerily resembles a Mark Wahlberg/Jim Carrey love-child.

They closed the show with the evening's best skit, "Last Call." We've all had our own Dan Pants kind of nights.
