Waking up from dormancy, Chairlift is slowly leaking bits of their long overdue sophomore effort into the halls of the big bad blogosphere. Some might recall them as the original Beach House-y power chick fronted indie band from their iPod commercial and their hit song "Bruises," or their grammatically perplexing debut Does You Inspire You. Those on team dreamy Legrand might find Caroline Polachek's deep lady vocals a bit too Bjork leaning here, but the song's got legs, and forced comparisons aside, these are definitely two very different acts. Chairlift's latest tune is an uptempo affair, complete with pew-pew futuristic synths to match Polachek's vintage sounding voice. Check it out below.
The new album, Something, is due 1/23 via Young Turks.
