Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel make futuristic funk for the head-nodding crowd as Phantogram, the cybernetic ghost of your dance-floor. Their debut Eyelids was an early 2010 release you may have missed in the flurry of high-profile stuff from February, but don't let the year slip without this one on the shelf.

The Saratoga Springs duo used to be called something else (Charlie Everywhere), so if their Maximum Balloon-esque jams sound familiar, that could be the reason. Grab "When I'm Small" below and be sure to catch them on their tour, which ends stateside with a date at the Bug Jar in Rochester, NY (12/3) before jumping around America's hat (Canada) during the month of December (cold).

Eyelid Movies is out now on Barsuk. It's not as painful as it sounds (it's actually quite painless and enjoyable). Roll camera. -joe puglisi
