    Despite a three hour wait at the door and a cool $100 to get in, Kanye West still played to a packed and star-studded house at The Bowery Ballroom last night. We did not get to go, but the Youtube never fails to provide a peak at what others got to experience.

    I am sincerely sorry I missed the "Can't Tell Me Nothing" encore.

    A few other selections:

    "Monster":

    "So Appalled":

    Lots of guests! At the end Kanye went on a pretty lengthy rant about his recent media squabbles, bloggers, and The Today Show. Audio of that last bit is right here [via].

    In other news, Quincy Jones does not think Kanye has the stones to be a great producer. [via]

    From a Rolling Stone interview:

    How man? No way. Did he write for a symphony orchestra? Does he write for a jazz orchestra? Come on, man. He's just a rapper. There's no comparison. I'm not putting him down or making a judgement or anything, but we come from two different sides of the planet. I spent 28 years learning my first skill. I don't rap. It's not the same thing. A producer has to have some sort of skills that enable him to be a producer. It's totally different to know what to do with 16 woodwinds you know from piccolos down to bass clarinet. Its a whole different mindset. No comparison. None...

    Douchechill. Man, Kanye is getting more attention than a Chillean Miner these days! I love the record but is it over yet? (Solid NOPE.) -joe puglisi
