    Craig Ferguson's Scottish accent wasn't the only thing from abroad on last night's installment of the Late Late Show, which featured a guest appearance by English and African trio The Very Best. The group, a collaboration between African emigre Esau Mwamaya and English producer/DJ duo Radioclit, performed their track "Julia" backed by two dancers. The track, which has lyrics in Chichewa (the traditional language of Mwamaya's native Malawi) is not something you hear on late night every night - check it out below, courtesy (as usual) of the Audio Perv.

    I'd never heard of The Very Best until this morning, but it seems I was behind the times - the group has an impressive collection of collaborations under their belt, and their full-length debut, Warm Heart of Africa, is out now via Green Owl. Collaborators include Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig and M.I.A.. Furthermore, the album's title track won a well-deserved World Music award at the 9th Annual Independent Music Awards. -peter menniti
