In addition to the myriad individual thanks, we, as a collective, are thankful for the medium and messages we are built upon. Everyone at Baeble is a fan of the music we share through our videos - that's why we are here. We are all guided by the delight that's experienced when we introduce a friend (or stranger) to a new and unique tune.
For this, we are wholeheartedly thankful for the pioneering music video/concert/documentary, The Last Waltz, which on Thanksgiving Day will celebrate its 24th anniversary. Although the 1978 concert at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco closed the door for The Band, it laid the foundation for the evolution of the musical experience. An opus of such magnitude has yet to be made, and perhaps never will be, but we'll be damned if we don't keep trying!
So this year, we're sending out a special thank-you to Mr. Scorcese and the slew of performers who ditched the turkey and took the stage on that special Thanksgiving evening. Without your inspiration, all of our lives would be a hell of a lot less colorful.
