Menahan Street Band Marry Old Timey Boxing and Brass

Menahan Street Band is composed of members of The Dap-Kings, Antibalas, Budos Band, and The Expressions, and they actually sound exactly like the sum of their parts - groovy, brassy, and deadly rhythmic. Here's "Lights Out," a vocal-less track that's way too cool for it's own good, and along with it, are appropriate vintage visuals of boxers throwing some beatdowns ("Lights Out," get it?). It's only about three minutes long, but I could watch/listen to this on loop all day.

You can do the same below.

Menahan Street Band's The Crossing is out now.
