"We want people to feel the music first, and ask questions later" claims Grandchildren's lead singer and primary composer Alex Martray. And with melodic yet beat-driven music like this, that shouldn't be that hard to do.

Grandchildren started as a solo project for Martray but it was quickly realized that the complexity to the music being created was to much for one man to hold up so he enlisted fellow housemates from Philadelphia's notorious punk house Danger Danger to join him. The band's electronic orchestral-pop come's off as sporadic while at the same time sounding carefully choreographed.

The band's debut album, Everlasting came out in September via Green Owl Records. All the tracks can be streamed on the bands page at Green Owl Records. If you want to hear some more, listen to the remix version of "Saturn Returns" done by Brooklyn's Runaway over at RCRDLBL.

The band has a December residency at Pianos in NYC if you want to experience their mayhem firsthand. Dates below.-brendan mehan
