John Legend's album Darkness and Light isn't coming out until December 2nd, but he's already shared some content from it. Previously, he shared the video for his single "Love Me Now." This afternoon, Beats 1 premiered another song from Legend's upcoming album, "Penthouse Floor." Not only does it feature Chance the Rapper (with a corny knock-knock joke that'll make you grin anyway), but it was also co-written by Sia and songwriter/producer, Greg Kurstin. You can't expect anything less than amazing with these four working together on something. With its funky guitar line and smooth drum beat, this song's groove will get you doing body rolls instantly.

John Legend has always been active in bringing awareness to social injustices with his music. This time, he has his aims on the big wigs who live comfortably in their penthouses while trouble continues to brew in the streets below. Legend and Chance sing about the divide between the wealthy and the outside world and encourage us to close the gap between the two. "Go to the penthouse floor. Let's ride the elevator. It's what we've been waiting for. They can't keep us out no more." This is what hope sounds like when you put a beat to it.

We can expect more great artists to be featured in Darkness and Light, including Miguel and Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard.
