For those who haven't seen Purple Rain (and shame on you, because it's the best movie ever made), here's a little background: in the film, Apollonia is Prince's GF who's represented by his archenemy, Morris Day, a fact which may or may not lead to a little domestic abuse at the tiny hands of The Artist himself. "Sex Shooter," which is, ironically, actually written by Prince, is the song that makes Apollonia and her backup singers the talk of Minneapolis, much to the chagrin of Prince and his sunglasses. Now let's switch to real life - after the movie did massively well, Warner Bros. decided to see if Apollonia 6 could ride that wave to notoriety. As you probably guessed, it didn't exactly work - "Sex Shooter" peaked at #85 on the Hot 100, and Apollonia never recorded another album. But hey, at least we got this incredible music video.

If nothing else, fast-forward to 3:54 for the best 55 seconds of your day.

Now turn off your computer, and go watch Purple Rain.
