Arcade Fire played two songs and a digital short on SNL, James Blunt revealed how he prevented WWIII in the late nineties, Roc Nation got a new poster boy, and Michael Jackson continues to haunt us from the grave.

    Arcade Fire played SNL

Not even a goofy Win Butler could save the digital short though. It's embarrassing.

James Blunt talked about his time in the British Military.

The stint included a direct disobeying of orders, in a situation that Blunt claims could have ignited World War 3 in 1999. The Guardian has the full interview (link below).

"The singer made the claim in an interview about his military career. "I was given the direct command to overpower ... 200 or so Russians [in Kosovo]," he said. "And the practical consequences of that political reason would be then aggression against the Russians."

Jay Z signed Jay Electronica to Roc Nation this weekend.

Definitely better than Willow Smith. Underground rap hero Jay Electronica is a solid choice for Hov, who was quoted as saying he wants to sign artists to "to reintroduce magic to hip hop". [via]

Hear a new song called "Announcement" here.

    Michael Jackson released another single.

This time it's a duet with Akon. It originally leaked a few years ago (to much complaining, Akon was "devastated"). The polished version is still, well, listen for yourself. Will.I.Am is still outraged about the whole thing, but he has made enough of his own insults against music.

Let's get through this week together kids! New music to bump to, that's for sure. Our new theme song? The Sarah Palin's Alaska theme song FOR LIFE.
