Introducing the New, Synthed-Up Ra Ra Riot

Ra Ra Riot has always had this in them. "Beta Love," the first single from the band's upcoming third album by the same name (out on 1/22), is a rollicking, synth-driven pop tune that at first glance seems like a departure from the band's string-laden past. In a way it is - cellist Alexandra Lawn is gone, of course -- but the band's ability to toss out well-constructed indie pop songs with smart lyrics still remains. And with a little inspiration from lead-singer Wes Miles' side project, Discovery, Ra Ra Riot injected new life into their sound. One thing you can't say, is that it's not fun to listen to.

Stream and/or download "Beta Love" below.
