In case you'd been holding your breath for the next Rick Ross and Jay-Z collaboration then relax: you can inhale for the first time since last December's "The Devil Isn't Real" (and congratulations, kid: that's some impressive lung capacity). Featuring production by Timbaland, "Movin' Bass" is the first single from the upcoming album Hood Billionaire (due out November 24th).

Will it get you excited about the album? Possibly, but I'm having a hard time working up the energy after listening to this little sneak. There are times where the track reminds me of some of the collaborations Kool Keith did with Motion Man back in the day (the beat sounds suspiciously similar to that of "Clifton," as does much of Ross' wordplay and vocal styling) which is nothing but a good thing but it's an overly long track without enough variety in rhythm or style to hold attention. Jay-Z's inclusion is far from essential, his only obvious inclusion is in throwing down the chorus, and the song is plagued by completely unnecessary samples that seem splashed on top of the rest of the track like paint stains. It bodes well for more of the same but no real hope for innovation.
