Lorde is a professed fan of Kanye West. Her just a little bit chilling covers of "Flashing Lights" and "Hold My Liquor" are some rock solid examples of the New Zealander's affection for Kanye's more recent cannon. And the feeling is mutual, Kanye is equally fascinated by Lorde, though he has yet to cover one of her brooding pop songs.

In lieu of a cover, West has been signed up for a collaboration. He has remixed Lorde's "Yellow Flicker Beat" for the forthcoming Hunger Games Mockingjay, Pt. 1 soundtrack. Besides their mega stardom, and high profile personality twists (Kanye is an insane creative genius, and Lorde has a royal Dr. Frankenstein quality to her), the two artists share a sonic darkness in their pop. Kanye's unmix isolates Lorde's vocals, using the bass lines to score her fight song with an aura of alienation and loneliness.

The album, curated by Lorde, is set for release on November 17th, and includes contributions from Haim, Q-Tip, CHVRCHES, Charli XCX, Diplo and Ariana Grande, among others.
