SPEED ROUND: 5 Albums Out Now That You Should Spin

Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.

    1. Taylor Swift - reputation

HAPPY TAYLOR SWIFT DAY!!! If you watch/read WTF Weekly, you know that I am Taylor's biggest fan (and also probably worst enemy). I've been waiting for this day ever since the first cryptic snake video popped up on her Insta page. Her video for its lead single "Look What You Made Me Do" broke records. It's not available for streaming, but don't worry -- because Taylor is Taylor, you know it's available for purchase.

MUST LISTENS: "Look What You Made Me Do," "Call It What You Want"

    2. Empire of the Sun - On Our Way Home

The Australian duo *sort of* surprise-released a new EP (well, they just didn't give us a lot of notice). It features "Way To Go" plus two remixes of it, the title track, and "Two Leaves." It's short, but it's good!

MUST LISTENS: "Way To Go" and all of its remixes...?

    3. Kamaiyah - Before I Wake

We've got another surprise release on our hands! Kamaiyah is actually working on another project right now, but because it has been delayed, she decided to release this. In an Instagram post, she said, "Creatively I felt trapped with my project being held up due to samples...I lost my way and decided to take initiative by recording and putting together music for my fans all on my own because I felt it was time."

MUST LISTENS: "Slide (Bet)," "Me Against Myself"

    4. Angel Olsen - Phases

Angel Olsen is out with her compelling new record, Phases, which consists of b-sides and other songs that were written during the MY WOMAN sessions.

    MUST LISTENS: "Sans," "Special"

    5. Sleigh Bells - Kid Kruschev

Kid Kruschev is Sleigh Bells' new mini-album, and it explores everything that is going on in the world today. Check out the other artists we were listening to while waiting for this record, like Phantogram and tUnE-yArDs.

MUST LISTENS: "And Saints," "Blue Trash Mattress Fire"
