No matter how much we thoroughly enjoy spending our weeks and weekends at live musical performances throughout the metropolitan area, occasionally, we are offered alternative coverage opportunities. This past Saturday, we stopped by The Village Voice's second annual Brooklyn Pour Craft Beer Festival at Skylight One Hanson in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn.
Wielding a freebie, four-ounce tasting glass, I scoured two floors of more than 50 breweries showcasing their finest brown beverages. Also provided, to those who wished to recollect their brew-venture the following morning, was a checklist and a mini-pencil -- both of which were lost as my steps turned to stumbles.
I do, however, remember this happening quite vividly.
We're already looking forward to next year's Pour, and hoping they institute a "Bring Your Own Stein" policy.
