The Occupy Wall Street protesters were treated to another impromptu musical performance last night by none other than hip-hop star Talib Kweli
. Following the recent performance of Jeff Mangum
, Kweli tweeted that he was going to head down to the protest to treat its supporters to an intimate a cappella set. Fresh off a performance on the Colbert Report
, Kweli went right into a new rhyme, "Distraction," which is politically driven and discusses how the truth can be stretched and molded. Kweli then went into Black Star's "Thieves In The Night." After performing his songs, Kweli addressed the crowd and told them how much they have inspired him. "It's about growth now. We have to grow. And that's the point. I love y'all," he told his rapt audience. Check out his full performance below.
