Last Friday, The 1975 did an hour-long live lounge session with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra to end BBC's Radio 1 Live Lounge Month. Together, they performed various songs from the band's sophomore album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It, along with some Justin Bieber and One Direction covers for good measure. It's hard to see how this all plays out until you actually listen to it. You wouldn't think that their neo-eighties rock song "Love Me" needed trumpets and horns until you hear the orchestra's brass section rock out to it. All of the songs performed were arranged by Sam Swallow from The Hoosiers.

You can only stream the performance on BBC Radio 1's website if you live in the UK, but their classical renditions of Justin Bieber's "Sorry" and One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" are available for everyone to enjoy. If you like (or are absolutely sick of) these songs now, hearing them like this make you appreciate them way more.
