Let us introduce you to The Tins, an up and coming indie-pop band from Albany, New York. Though they are just now appearing on the scene (blogs) the band has actually been playing together for over four years. This is apparent when after you listen and see how well guitarist Adam Putzer and keyboardist Mike Santillo blend their vocals together.

"Green Room", one of the songs off their debut EP, has been getting an enormous amount of positive attention in the blog world. The track is a beautiful, slow building, seven minute melody based jam that the most seasoned of bands probably wish they would have come up with. Check it out for yourself on the band's
    Myspace.

According to the band's electronic press kit, they "continue to craft their songs in isolation." In that case, I hope to hear more coming from them soon.

The band released its self-titled debut EP this past April. You can pick it up on iTunes and CD Baby.

Also, the band will be playing a CMJ show at R Bar down on Bowery and Prince. Check it out if you get a chance.-brendan mehan
