This year Austin City Limits was set up to succeed with great music and equally as great weather. The festival and its goers were blessed with temperatures around eighty degrees, sunshine, and low humidity (because we all know how damaging humidity can be to a festival). The lineup was super diverse and didn't leave out a single music fan. We hit up ACL on the weekend of September 30-October 2 as they celebrated their 15th anniversary with nothing but the best on day one - Radiohead, M83, St. Lucia, Flying Lotus, and more. Radiohead performed a good amount of songs off of A Moon Shaped Pool
and also threw in some other songs from their discography, like the rare "Airbag" plus a cover of The Smith's "How Soon Is Now?," "The National Anthem," "Exit Music (for a Film)," "Nude," and more. St. Lucia brought a massive amount of energy as always and M83 delivered a mesmerizing set full of both old and new music. Check out our photos from day one below.
