RUFUS DU SOL are an electronic trio hailing from Australia. They're on Odesza's label, Foreign Family Collective (#NBD), and celebrated the release of their album BLOOM by hitting several major music festivals this past summer including Panorama, which we actually caught them at. After experiencing such a fun and dance-worthy show, we were hooked. Now, they're back in NYC and set to play the SOLD OUT Terminal 5 on November 5th. More info and tour dates HERE. It's hard to put a label on the trio's genre-bending music, so to get a glimpse of what they are listening to is interesting. The playlist features a lot of electronic music, in addition to a Lane8 remix of their own song "Innerbloom," which is off of their "Innerbloom" remix package. The group explains the thought process behind each song choice below.

    Lane8 - "Innerbloom" Remix

We were extremely lucky to have such a stella cast of remixers for "Innerbloom," with Lane 8 delivering a silky smooth seven minute rendition of the track. We've been big fans for some time so to have him digging our music and putting his own mark to it was pretty special.

    Krusoe - "Rivers Run Riot"

UK-based dude making really warm electronic music with indie sensibilities. Not sure where we stumbled across this guy, but we're glad we did.

    Braille Face - "Backwards/Medicated"

Melbourne guy that is signed to Tim Shiel & Wall de Backer's (Gotye) record label Spirit Level. His debut LP dropped earlier this year and has us completely hooked - can't wait to see this live.

    Maribou State - "November Nights"

We were listening to a lot of Maribou State while writing our second album BLOOM. Earlier this year they dropped an EP of outtakes that didn't make their album Portraits. "November Nights" is a standout.

    Pedestrian - "Airs & Graces"

This is the B-Side from their new release. An energetic yet atmospheric track that is hard to categorize, but serves its purpose so well. This was released on the fresh label Dama Dama, which was founded by the aforementioned Maribou State & Pedestrian.

Polographia ft. Winston Surfshirt - "Sly"

Two absolute forces in the upcoming Australian scene and both signed to Sweat It Out family. We love everything that both Polographia & Winston Surfshirt are putting out and can't wait to take them on tour with us early 2017.

    David August - "J.B.Y."

No introduction needed. David August is gearing up to release his first solo record in two years and this little slice of heaven is the perfect nod in the right direction. Can't wait to see what he has for us next.

    KLLO - "Bolide"

Girl-boy duo from Melbourne that we are thrilled to have join us on tours across UK, Europe and North America. This track was their breakthrough slice that had us hooked. Check out their Well Worn EP; it's a full listen.

    Weval - "Easier"

An electronic duo from Amsterdam that we haven't stopped listening too since we stumbled across their self titled album a few months back. Their back catalogue is just as exciting too. "Easier" sits as the more mellow end of their range with a wholesome crescendo towards the end of the track.

    Tora - "Amor"

Tora are a six piece band from the gorgeous Byron Bay coastline in Australia. They toured with us around Australia earlier this year and are all so naturally talented, while being some of the loveliest people you will meet. Tune in!
