Since the release of his sophomore album Pool, Aaron Maine, the creative force behind the project Porches, has been working on new material at a near breathless pace. His single "Country" was released earlier this month, and now Porches has released another track and video entitled "Find Me", along with the announcement that a new album, The House, will drop in mid-January.

Like "Country", "Find Me" is a dressed down track, lacking pretension and cumbersome excess. Instead, the song relies on the strength of a simple boots-and-cats beat and synth flairs that embrace the concept of minimalism. The new track, like its predecessor, and the album to come, is a page ripped from the diary of Maine's mind, where in it he contemplates the nature of his own anxieties, sense of isolation, and urge to escape. In the new video, we find Maine going through the meniality of many daily activities, and in combination with the song, it produces an unexplainable tension similar to that in which Maine finds in his anxiety.

Between the yearning expressed in "Country" and the sentiments reflected in "Find Me", The House promises to be an emotional and intimate ride. Supported by a slew of featured artists including Alex G, members of Blood Orange, and even Maine's own father, the album is also sure to be a creatively ambitious endeavor.

The House releases January 19 via Domino Records.
