On Monday British songwriter Ben Howard released his gorgeously leaden second LP I Forget Where We Were. A member of Ben Lovett (Mumford & Sons) and Kevin Jones' (Bear's Den) Communion Records school of folk-rock, Ben Howard's talent comes highly vouched for. His brand of folk-rock roams slightly more languid than the racing urgency of Mumford & Sons, unafraid to tread in stillness, but never so still as to drown in it's own depth. I Forget Where We Were is the rare second record that wades deeper into the sonic lagoon of his guitar without alienating fans of his lyrical love songs.

We shot a session with Ben Howard back in 2012 at our SXSW Launch Pad Party. This was on heels of his studio album debut Every Kingdom, which garnered him a Mercury Prize nomination, yet Howard was genuinely surprised by the breadth of his American fan base. The room over flowed with Howard's admirers. We reached full capacity, and then the set started. You can grasp the scope of the crowd, but Howard's set is casually rapturous. He puts on an exceptional live show.

So here it is folks, your weekly throwback fix. #TBT to that time Ben Howard packed our SXSW Launch Pad Party to capacity:
