In case you haven't heard, pint-sized popstar Ariana Grande
is a DIVA—and not in the badass way that demands loads of reverence and respect (see: Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Cher, Tina Turner...), but in the "grow up little girl" type of way that reminds us of another certain young female vocalist...
Enter one Miley Cyrus.
When it came to recent reports on her on set antics, and tyrannical insistence she only be photographed from her left side, Ariana Grande felt unfairly judged and targeted by the media. So she reached out to Cyrus, whose relationship with the media has also been a fraught, emotional roller-coaster. "I was upset and I contacted Miley. I said, 'Miley, I'm so sad, what do I do? This isn't true. My heart is broken, I feel so bad." Cyrus apparently advised Grande not to reflect on her on behavior and adjust her attitude, but instead to ignore the rumors outright: "She was like 'Girl, don't even look at it. Just be happy that you're blessed. You have family and friends who love you, you have fans that love you who know what's true and what's not. It will blow over and tomorrow they'll be talking about something else."
Grande has expressed her gratitude to Cyrus for sharing her "beautiful spirit", and has maintained that her diva reputation is a vicious fib, apparently she really isn't the "Problem" child that she has been made out to be.
