When Robert Delong stepped into our studio, it was immediately clear that he wasn't interested in showing us anything that we'd seen before. He brought with him mountains of equipment, which littered every surface of our office, and used them to set up a scene that was, just like his song, "Revolutionary."
He roams from his complicated audio mixers to the electric guitar, looking equally at home behind both. Drum pads bridge the gap, and Delong pounds on them faster than a racing heartbeat, triumphantly dropping his drumstick after he nails each verse. Oh, and he's also belting out his lyrics the entire time. He's doing _so much_ on stage, but he's not alone. He's helped by his talented bassist, drummer, and thanks to the wonders of technology, K.Flay. During her collaboration with Delong, "Favorite Color is Blue," she stares out at us from a flat screen, singing in between neon and psychedelic patterns.
It's so obviously appropriate that his newest EP (out today go check it out!) is called See You in The Future. Because Delong isn't interested in anything that isn't pushing forward. You're either in the future or you're falling behind. So try and keep up!
