Singing-songwriting wizard Emily Warren
is out with another infectious pop song, "Poking Holes." By keeping the production minimalistic, Warren's effortless, smooth vocals - like on all of her songs - shine. "So don't blame the liquor for the things you say that you don't mean,"
the Chainsmokers-collaborator sings, calling out the person on the other end in her brutally honest way. "You're poking holes in you and me,"
she continues with a heartbreaking metaphor. If you're digging the song, make no mistake: Warren is the same woman who co-wrote Charli XCX
's "Boys" and Dua Lipa
's "New Rules." Just two of the biggest songs to come out this summer. #NBD.
We're excited for the singer to share her solo work, because clearly, she can do it all.
