Do you like space? Do you like flared pants? Well then, sure to suit your fancy AND bring the ruckus at our CMJ rager is French Horn Rebellion. A pair of brothers from Milwaukee make up French Horn Rebellion, an instrument they claim is the "central reason for why the band exists", making its lack of presence is only funnier. The Perlick-Molinari bros' first album The Infinite Music Of French Horn Rebellion from Once Upon a Time Records is a up and down collection of 14 strut-worthy electro-glimmer tracks. Alternatively sounding like Passion Pit, Phoenix, MGMT or Daft Punk, tunes like the giddy disco-inspired "This Moment" feature grandiosely synthed sounds and can certainly arouse robotic dance moves. Vocals from both Robert and David permeate with fetching hooks and 70's era freakouts. "Up All Night" (goofy video below) is a self-conscious danceable romp sure to bring boogying at Spike Hill come CMJ.
