If you live in New York, then you know that October through February is peak house party season. It makes sense - no one likes waiting in line for the club when it's cold out and there's snow on the ground. Yeah, nothing puts me in the mood to dance like a puffy marshmallow jacket and frostbitten fingers! If anything, it makes me want to slip into Uggs and watch Friends
in the comfort of my own home. However that's why house parties are also a great option: you're already friends with everyone there, you don't have to pay to have your coat checked, and hey, no one's checking IDs!
Okay, we're not condoning underage drinking, but a line in The Knocks
' new song "House Party" is "he had a friend who couldn't get in because she looked too young." See, it's a real struggle!
Anyway, it is October now, which means the NYC-based electro duo released their single "House Party" at a perfect time. It's co-produced by Captain Cuts and features vocals from The Knocks' very own JPatt (James Patterson) and it's appropriate for a house party, too. Its disco-tinged beat makes me want to dance... and it's only Tuesday afternoon!
