I've never encountered a band quite as polarizing as Radiohead
. You either love them or you hate them. Or you think "Creep" is a pretty good song and you learn how to play it (poorly) on an acoustic guitar to impress that artsy girl who went to Pratt who's not really into you and now she's really not into you. Basically, everyone has an opinion on Radiohead.
That includes FOX News correspondent Kat Timpf, who took some shots at the band while discussing this year's group of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees.
Timpf not-so-subtly implies that Radiohead has the fame and notoriety to make the Hall of Fame, but not necessarily the skill. That was probably the nicest thing she said, later lacing into the band, equating them to "...elaborate moaning and whining over ringtone sounds".
What kills me the most is when Timpf goes into detail about the connection between the men she's into and Radiohead. Timpf apparently likes her men "strange, malnourished, and sad", which incidentally means they all like Radiohead. I'm not a fan of making sweeping generalizations; but, less accurate things have been said about Radiohead before. It also means I need to try to get in touch with Timpf once the mid-winter blues kick in. Or maybe Radiohead's fan base and I should take a cue from Yorke and get more greens
