This weekend we'll be hosting our annual CMJ Music Marathon showcase The Launch Pad at Spike Hill in Brooklyn. Instead of hopping from venue to venue to check out a different array of music, we've made your CMJ experience an easier one! We've gathered the best, up-and-coming artists to play on Friday (10/18) and Saturday (10/19) nights. It's FREE and you don't even need a CMJ badge to get it.

To get you acclimated to our divine lineup we present you Luke Temple and The Ceremonies.

    The Ceremonies
Friday, October 18th at 12 AM

The Ceremonies will be closing out the night on Friday, and this Los Angeles band is one you won't want to miss if you're a fan of The Smiths, Echo and The Bunnymen and The Cure. Taking inspiration from the best post-punk bands from the 80s, The Ceremonies bring a new feel to their sound through their undeniable musical chemistry. Their latest single "Land Of Gathering" is optimistic, eclectic and the perfect sing-a-long, so make sure you learn all the lyrics before you check them out on Friday night!

    Luke Temple
Saturday, October 19th at 10 PM

Massachusetts-born Luke Temple has quite a repertoire. Since releasing his self-titled EP in 2004, he has shared music with his band, Here We Go Magic, and now he's collaborating with Mike Johnson of Dirty Projectors and Eliot Krimsky of Glass Ghost. His recently released Good Mood Fool is sure to get your feet moving on Spike Hill's dance floor. You'll slowly sway to "Florida" and romp real hard to "Katie", and we'll be sure to join you. Luke will be taking the stage on Saturday at 10 PM!
