At this point in her career, it's not ridiculous to expect Lady Gaga
to do something outlandish, like remix a song of her making bird calls or wear a bikini made only out of packing peanuts, but one thing that we can always expect from the pop icon is that she will always do something totally unexpected.
The singer takes a break from innovation and explores her musical roots in her latest project, Cheek to Cheek
a jazz album she recorded with renowned vocalist, Tony Bennett.
This past year has been a major eye opener for Gaga who suffered a hip injury that required surgery and forced her to cancel 21 concerts of her Born This Way Ball Tour.
She accuses her team of not being there for her in her time of need and says, "I laid there in my hospital bed and felt like a cow. I'd been giving milk this whole time and now that I was ill and could no longer be milked, they said, 'give us a call when the cow is better.'" (Ugh! She would make the fiercest cow!)
Lady Gaga credits Bennett with helping her through her recovery both physically and emotionally. She only wants to focus on the positives, ArtRave: The Artpop Ball Tour, and the boy that did her "Applause" choreography during a news report.
Try not to feel anything during this video of Bennett and Gaga recording "But Beautiful" from Cheek to Cheek
. If you don't well up even a little as Tony wipes away Gaga's tears with his handkerchief you might not have a heart.
