Next week, we are going to film every single one of these bands. Get familiar. Get pumped.

The first five bands make up the roster for the open to the public Baeble on the Bowery party, and the second half contains all the private VIP shoots we're doing at Rockwood on Thursday and Friday. Don't worry if you're living on the other side of the country (or the world), all these performances will be right here on the site.

    Baeble On The Bowery

    1. "OMFG" - Deluka - You Are The Night

Deluka is badassery packaged in electrofoam, and shipped directly to your face. Their LP is dropping on 10/26, just in time for you to fall in love at our show and put a ring on it.

    2. "Up So Fast" - Young Man - Boy EP

Colin Caulfield writes drippy, pretty tunes as Young Man, a reverberated nostalgia machine just churning to get back to Legos and Star Wars (but never mentioning them). It's like a soft blanket. In space. The EP is out now.

    3. "Light It Up" - Blood Red Shoes - Fire Like This

Imported fresh from the mother country (on V2, a big label), these guys dropped their second album a few months ago. I've heard Blood Red Shoes live is like burning down a house with fireworks.

    4. "Waves" - Holly Miranda - The Magicians Library

Holly Miranda makes me swoon. Check out her GA session from earlier this year GA session for a sweet, sweet taste of her real life performances.

    5. "o000o000o" - Oberhofer - o000o000o 7"

Lo-fi burger, with an entire ketchup bottle of reverb on the plate. Oberhofer is one of the subtley buzzing acts buried in the 9000 or so other acts of fluff steamrolling the town this week, but I suspect it won't seem that way in November. Vote Oberhofer.

    The Rockwood Sessions

    6. "White Night" - The Postelles - White Night EP

Very few acts can wrangle that Saturday night aesthetic, but these guys pretty much nail it with every jang. After their appearance in our Bonnaroo video, we thought it was time to bring them in for the real thing.

    7. "I Can Talk" - Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History

TDCC is dance rock at its finest. One of the most immediately exciting albums I've heard in a long time. I suspect this is another name that come November will seem like a no brainer.

    8. "Little Brown Haired Girl" - Frankie Rose and the Outs - Frankie Rose and the Outs

There is something about the washed out, simple tunes of Frankie Rose that make me so unreasonably happy. Music that makes you feel like you just got slimed, Ghostbusters II style.

    9. "Hold On" - Angus and Julia Stone - Angus and Julia Stone

This brother and sister duo from Oz make some really awesome folk tunes. Did we mention they are one of the best selling artists in Australia in 2010? Like platinum? It's easy to see why, their tunes are both easy and affecting.

    10. "Let Go" - Everest - On Approach

In the immortal words of David Pitz: "this song rules".

    11. "Winter Is All Over You" - First Aid Kit - The Big Black and the Blue

The tight harmonies and balladeering of this Norway band are as awesome as they are emotionally confusing (I'm so sad that I'm happy?). Their compelling live set was awesome at when I scoped them out at Mercury Lounge a few months ago.

    12. "Older Brother" - Pepper Rabbit - Beauregard

Although a few notable rabbits exist in the music sphere (both Frightened and White), this Pepper one hops with the best of them. Avant as f*ck, and not afraid to use any instrument at their disposal, these guys make some really beautiful music.
