My Morning Jacket appeared on Jimmy Fallon and jammed out with The Roots on their tune "Wordless Chorus." The crowded stage didn't stop a guitarless Jim James from busting out some awesomely flamboyant stage antics, and The Roots, not surprisingly, lived up to their title of "the best band in late night" and fell in easily with My Morning Jacket, even outshining them at points.
As we mentioned yesterday, My Morning Jacket will be taking up a brief five-show residency at NYC's Terminal 5 from October 18th-23rd. They will be playing one studio album a night in chronological order, plus other material from the surrounding period. Shows will take place on the 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, with different support acts every night. -peter menniti
