new music video: the moondoggies

    Seattle-based folk rockers The Moondoggies have released an animated video for their song "Empress of the North." I won't spoil the emotional plotline, but I will tell you that the animated pencil drawing is a very cool aesthetic and that the video fits in nicely with the muted, somber tune.



    The Moondoggies' sophomore album Tidelands drops today on Hardly Art. They will be following up in short order with a US tour with Dawes beginning on October 27th. For those of you who want more Moondoggies, they have released a free mp3 of "It's a Shame, It's a Pity" off of Tidelands which you can download below. -peter menniti
