The Sweedish ladies of First Aid Kid are no strangers to the ice cold chills of winter, and since it's now January, chances are neither are you. For wanderers from a notoriously winter wonderland, First Aid Kit has an incredible talent for radiating sonic warmth.

Back in 2010 we sat down with the band at Rockwood Music Hall for a casual jam session that transformed into a smoldering "folkal" — the sisters' self-ascribed genre stands for folk music with emphasis on the vocals, see our interview here — session. The set includes a gorgeous cover of Fever Ray's "When I Grow Up." Warm yourself with the hot coals of their original harmonic balladry, and watch the session below.

Their latest album, Stay Gold is available now via Jagadamba and Columbia Records, get it on iTunes.
